Work in a professional artists’ studio
Up to four people at a time, or One to One.
All abilities welcome, inclluding complete beginners
Over the years, many budding artists have been disillusioned about their ability to draw and paint at a very early stage of their artistic development. Dave believes that this is probably due to the failings of our modern, exam driven, education system that has for too long apportioned too little time to the teaching of the drawing skills necessary to become a proficient artist. This has left so many children entirely disillusioned about their own drawing ability.
If this scenario sounds familiar to you, then you are likely to be one of the many adults who currently think that there are only two kinds of people who can draw and paint: i.e. very young children; and naturally talented adults! You are, therefore, likely to think that you are neither, so you’ve stopped trying! However, just think about it; your enjoyment of drawing stopped whilst only a child simply because you stopped improving! And you stopped improving because you had no idea that after a certain age, artistic skills could and should be consciously learned in order to improve!
Dave is a highly skilled professional artist and qualified tutor who firmly believes’ that anyone can be taught to draw and paint if only they are given the correct kind of tuition! As a naturally intuitive tutor and trained teacher, Dave conveys artistic techniques in an easy to follow sequential method which is down to earth, and carefully tailored to the needs of each individual, all delivered with a dash of good old Yorkshire humour!
Dave delivers this bespoke tuition in the comfort of his light-filled purpose-built studio, and is situated just on the outskirts of the historic town of Howden in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
