Start with the basics and understand how to use traditional watercolour painting techniques
If you’ve always admired the hazy watercolour works of professional artists, now’s your chance to learn some of these time-honoured techniques for yourself at this five-week painting course in Howden.
Led by experienced local artist Dave Woolass, you’ll build your skills each week by following Dave’s expert demonstrations, picking up step-by-step experience as you sketch, paint, and detail your artwork. The combination of close tuition with hands-on activities makes this a fun, laid-back, and comprehensive way to learn this versatile art form.
Even if this is your first time picking up a paintbrush, don’t fret: Dave will be on hand throughout the course to offer the benefit of his experience through hints and tips, techniques and a helping hand where needed. Whether you’re coming along alone or looking for fun things to do with your partner or a few friends, you’ll love learning to paint in this social, supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
Working in an intimate group, you will be able to get in-depth tuition from Dave and develop skills working from reference images. The skills gained from this course will give you the confidence to continue developing your artistic practice.
